My wife and I bought this property with the intention of doing a full remodel and keeping it forever both for income and for the in-laws. We love Venice; we built our current home and business here. But with more kiddos on the horizon, we're feeling called to spend more time in the mountains. Our first purchase was a duplex where we lived in one unit and rented the other to a friend, which covered the mortgage so we assume a savvy investor will end up doing the same here.
